Giorgio Armani - (1934 - ) Italian fashion designer Giorgio Armani was born in Piacenza, Italy.  Giorgio Armani went from working as a window dresser in the 50's to designer for Nino Cerruti in the 60's. By the 1970's Giorgio Armani had worked his way to starting his own menswear label.  Today Giorgio Armani is Italy's most successful designer with a multi-billion pound personal fortune.
