The career of Wolfgang Joop began in 1970 after he won a German magazine competition, this led to a role as fashion editor at Neue Mode magazine. International success came for Wolfgang Joop in 1978 with his first fur collection. In the 80's Wolfgang Joop launched his first collections for men and women, then in 1987 the name Joop became a trademark.
