Alvaro Arbeloa Coca, more widely known as Alvaro Arbeloa Liverpool FC and Spain footballer, was born in Salamanca, Spain on 17 January 1983. Alvaro Arbeloa began his professional career at none other than Real Madrid where he initially signed as a youth team player who went on to eventually appear twice for the first team. The lack of first team appearances at Real Madrid led to Alvaro Arbeloa leaving to join fellow La Liga side Deportivo de La Coruna in order to play more regularly. In his short spell at Depotivo Alvaro Arbeloa made 20 appearances before joining English Premier League club Liverpool FC at the end of the January transfer window on 31 January 2007.
Alvaro Arbeloa made his Premier League debut for Rafael Benitez's Liverpool FC on 10 February 2007 when he came on as a substitute against Newcastle United, his full debut came soon after in a Champions League match against Barcelona. Alvaro Arbeloa soon became a regular in the Liverpool FC first team and two months later on 07 April 2007 he scored his first goal for the Merseyside club in a Premier League match against Reading. The following 07/08 season saw Alvaro Arbeloa make his debut for the Spain national side which came on 26 March 2008 against Italy, he then went on to appear for Spain in the Euro 2008 championships in Austria and Switzerland.
